BSc (Hons) Environmental Science (University of Nottingham)

First Aid at Work

I spent plenty of time outside while growing up and I think this sparked my love of nature. I studied Environmental Science at university which allowed me to explore a wide range of different topics including a few geography modules, tourism modules and a module on climate change and society, which led me to discover my interest in human interactions with the environment. Since university I have worked in several different residential outdoor education centres and really enjoy working in this industry. It is so important for young people to spend time outside and you get to educate people on the importance of caring for the environment. Plus spending your days stood in a river or getting excited about an arch formation beats being sat in an office!

In my free time I enjoy being outside exploring, especially anywhere by the sea. I particularly enjoy walking, swimming, camping and travelling. When I’m not outside you’ll find me with my nose in a book somewhere cosy or in the kitchen baking.
