MSc (Hons) Environmental Science, University of York, First Aid at Work

Growing up in the Peak District walking and exploring with my family has meant I have a huge passion for nature and the environment and love being outdoors. I volunteered for 4 years with the National Trust before university, where I experienced life as a ranger, events coordinator and visitor experience volunteer.

I studied for 4 years at York doing my Integrated Masters, where I was lucky enough to experience a huge range of modules on many subjects that I love and now get to teach at Cranedale. During my degree I also completed my 7000-word Masters dissertation on land use management and conservation within the Peak District in collaboration with the National Trust.

During my studies at York, I worked as a Student Ambassador Intern for the university where I travelled to schools and events around the country to promote York, as well as leading many events, residentials and workshops at York for Y10 and Y12 students. I absolutely loved this role and it gave me a passion for inspiring young people and helping them to grow and develop their confidence, which is why Cranedale appealed as a combination of my ambassador work and my degree.

In my spare time you are likely to find me walking, climbing or spending time with friends and family, I also love listening to music and spending too much money on going to see gigs and concerts.
