BSc (Hons) Geology (Aberystwyth), PhD (Strathclyde), First Aid at Work
My original inspiration for working in field studies came from attending a residential field trip to the North York Moors as part of my A level Geography studies. I went on to study Geology and Geography at University of Wales, Aberystwyth, before completing a PhD in Geology at Strathclyde University. I have been involved at the Cranedale Centre for many years, and have enjoyed being part of the growing reputation of the Centre. I am currently very involved with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust where I act as both a volunteer planting 1000s of trees, and as a member of the Board of Trustees where I am currently Deputy Chairman. I have 3 grown up children, and recently completed a full round of the Scottish Munros.
