Currently I’m an undergraduate at University of York studying BSc Environmental Geography. The degree has given me the chance to delve into all sorts of exciting studies and fieldwork, from looking at the rapid erosion of the Holderness coast to studying the impact of volcanic activity on vegetation in Tenerife.
I started my year placement as Education Assistant here at Cranedale in September 2017. Since then I’ve been enjoying the dynamic and welcoming environment, the challenges and joys of being out and about on my feet nonstop, and getting to meet new staff and students while visiting some wonderful sites.
Outside of work and studies I like to cycle, run and go for walks. I also love all kinds of music. I’ve been playing the flute for over 10 years, playing in orchestras and bands and busking with my sisters. I’ve also tried something different by joining Samba York in 2016; as a drumming band we explore different rhythms and perform in colourful outfits at gigs and parades!
